The little boy sleeps in full protection of his dragon bodyguard. In the background the fierce volcanoes spew out hot molten lava, lighting up the sky in a beautiful display of purples, oranges and pinks. The warm colours contrast dramatically with the dark volcanoes. In the original painting the dragon has a shimmering, sparkly, textured skin. This is an unusual colour palette for me and it took me a long time to paint the volcanoes as I painted over them many times before I was satisfied with the effect. Seeing volcanoes in your dreams indicates there may be an eruption of emotions and could indicate a significant emotional confrontation.
