‘Lean on Me’ is the second painting from my ‘Dreaming in the Shadows’ Collection. It represents my lack of confidence in letting my friends and my family see my real self. Feeling shameful about my shortcomings and being unable to ask for help. It’s only now after a year of healing that I feel able to share my dark side. By being my authentic, flawed, real self I can finally form deeper bonds in relationships with those I’m close to. Are there ways you can be more yourself?
