Heather Cottage

I wanted to convey the raw beauty and tranquillity of the Scottish Highlands. I painted ‘Heather Cottage’ in shades of lavender, the colour of beauty and femininity. I’ve contrasted the ancient, snowy mountains against a purple starry sky and a full moon illuminates the scene. The full moon symbolizes imagination, intuition and dreaming and represents transition and renewal. All of nature is intrinsically bound together and connected. We have a responsibility to stop climate change and preserve our beautiful planet.
