The End of the Rainbow
‘The End of the Rainbow’ is about the end of a relationship. I painted it when I was at the end of my relationship with my children’s father although I still didn’t have the courage to leave. The crescent moon is a symbol of motherhood and fertility. I was worried I’d be wrecking my children’s lives by breaking up the family. The flowers in the tree are rainbow colours because the rainbow brings the promise that the troubles of today will surely come to pass. Hold strong in your vision and the rainbow will bring fresh beginnings and new prosperity. The end of the rainbow signifies a pot of gold and the magic that surrounds your dreams coming true. I’m glad to say I did find the courage to leave and I’ve never looked back. Letting go of what no longer serves us leaves space for new beginnings.
