I wanted to convey the raw beauty and tranquillity of the Scottish Highlands. The gold, glittering full moon symbolizes imagination, intuition and dreaming and represents transition and renewal. It contrasts with the deep emerald starry sky above the tranquil, winter scene. The ancient, snowy mountains and rocky desolate foreground provide a decorous setting for the quaint cottage to nestle peacefully. Who lies within? Seasons change and the continuous circle of life remains. All of nature is intrinsically bound together and connected. We have a responsibility to stop climate change and preserve our beautiful planet.
