Semple’s Walk

‘Semple’s Walk’ is a painting of Lochwinnoch which sits on the edge of Castle Semple Loch. The colourful houses are lit from within signifying warmth and homeliness. The moon and stars are reflected in the loch which is surrounded by colourful rocks. I used to take my children down to the loch when they were little and they loved to throw rocks and stones in the water. The figure in the red cloak is reminiscent of Red Riding Hood. She has tamed her ‘wolf’ and strides forward determinedly. Black labs are my favourite kind of dog. If I ever had a dog it would be a black lab.
